WE are edging closer to crowning the best takeaway in Bicester after our readers nominated the top 10.
The power is still in your hands to choose between them, by filling in the coupon in this week’s paper and posting it to us.
To help you choose, we rounded up five of the contestants last week and now the next five this week.
The first of today’s five food outlets is Barberry Fish Bar. Owner George Georgiou has been working alongside his staff throughout the pandemic.
He said: “We are blessed to have had lots of support from the community. I have a hard-working team here. We keep the distance and follow the Covid rules. It’s hard but we make it work. We are blessed we are busy.
“We would like to thank our customers during Covid. We try our best because we want to help the community.”
Wing On Chinese Takeaway has been making sure NHS staff were fed during lockdowns.
Owner Andy Pee said: “This past year has been very difficult, not just for me but for many people. NHS staff have done a very good job and so we did free lunch boxes for them during the pandemic.

“The NHS saved my life 10 years ago so it was important for me to do something for others.”
Copper Kitchen, a bistro serving homemade food, had to switch to takeaways to stay open.
The team said: “For a business that was never set up as a takeaway we are really pleased to have managed to do this and keep ourselves trading.
“Our feedback has been absolutely amazing.”
Sun Wah and Wah Hong Chinese takeaways both received enough votes to make it into the top 10 as well.
Sun Wah staff member Karina said: “We’re very grateful for our customers’ support. We don’t deliver, so it’s great to see people are still willing to come out and get their food.”
To vote for any of these takeaways, send your coupon to the address marked on it or leave it with the restaurant you voted for when you collect your takeaway.
