A GYM that was supposed to open two years ago has finally announced it will welcome customers this Spring.
When shops started opening at Bicester Shopping Park in early 2020, popular gym chain Pure Gym was also due to open.
But once the pandemic started and the country went into lockdown, the site's plans were put on hold.
Once lockdown ended and things returned to normal last year, people were confused as to why the gym had not opened and posted regularly on social media asking for updates.
In the Bicester Char Facebook group, Iris Chow said in May 2021: "Does anyone know about what's going on with the Pure Gym in Bicester? Seems like it's still not opened yet?"
Now, the gym plans to open in March.

A PureGym spokesperson said: “We initially planned to open PureGym Bicester in 2020, however due to the impact of successive lockdowns we have, like many businesses, experienced significant delays to our plans.
"Building works are now underway and we are hoping to open in the Bicester Shopping Park in March 2022. When PureGym Bicester does open members will have access to a wide variety of state-of-the art equipment and gym classes all included in their low-cost flexible membership.”
