A man from Bicester was sent to prison for sending a threatening Whatsapp message to a woman.
Ashley Watts, of Fakenham Street in Bicester, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 22.
Watts appeared in court on a number of charges including harassment without violence, criminal damage to property valued under £5000 and for sending a letter/communication/article conveying a threatening message.

The court found the 31-year old sent the victim a Whatsapp message on April 16 which conveyed a threat for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety.
Watts was committed to prison for six weeks concurrently with other sentences.
Overall length of sentence is 16 weeks.
In the court documents it states the offence was ‘so serious because of the appalling record’.
