An Oxfordshire over-50’s walking football team have raised nearly £4000 for Cancer Research.
The Bicester Fossils celebrated their fourth anniversary on Saturday, May 7, with an auction to raise money for Cancer Research.
The roughly 80 attendees happily parted with their money to purchase gifts and experiences donated by local businesses and people.
The auctioned materials included a chess set, meal vouchers for various restaurants, a paragliding trip, spa days and a four-day stay in an apartment in Poole Harbour.
Steve payne, Chairman of the Bicester Fossils, said: “Over the four years we have been running, we’ve always met up with the team to discuss what we should fundraise for at the annual auction. This year we all decided to help raise money for cancer.”
