A town council has launched a second wave of grant funding to support local organisations and groups.
Bicester Town Council has announced a second wave of Grant Aid funding for local charities, groups and organisations up to £500 and in some circumstances £1,000.
Grants are available for projects from constituted community, voluntary and charitable groups who provide a service which benefits Bicester residents.
The council launched its 2022/23 Grant Aid scheme in February, and last month Mayor Alex Thrupp handed out more than £16,000 in grants to local groups to fund projects, equipment, outings and events.

These included £1,000 to One Bicester to help fund the Big Jubilee Lunch 2022, as well as £500 to Trinity Camerata Orchestra for a family concert at St Edburg’s Church this autumn.
Bicester’s new mayor Councillor Alex Thrupp said: “I would urge local groups and organisations to consider applying for Grant Aid funding.
“This money is set aside each year in our budget with the aim to financially support these important community groups to carry out projects that directly benefit residents in Bicester and make the town such a special place to live.
“In the current financial climate, we are determined to continue to help. Preference will go to groups applying for a grant for the first time this financial year and those which are supporting residents with the cost-of-living crisis.”
