Readers do not want to see any Oxfordshire Tory MPs as Prime Minister, a poll has revealed.
A poll ran by the Oxford Mail and its sister newspapers, the Bicester Advertiser, Herald Series and Witney Gazette, found that a majority readers are not in favour of the county’s MPs taking the Conservative Party crown.
The poll came as Boris Johnson announced his resignation as Prime Minister.

The figures revealed 86 per cent of people did not wish to see any Oxfordshire MPs as Prime Minister.
However, David Johnston, MP for Wantage and Didcot, got the highest number of votes and gained 8 per cent of readers’ favour.
Victoria Prentis, MP for North Oxfordshire, and John Howell, MP for Henley, both received 2 per cent of the vote.
Robert Courts, MP for Witney and West Oxfordshire, received the lowest share of the vote with just 1 per cent.
