A Londoner has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder a woman in a Bicester house.
Thames Valley Police said the woman, 30s, was attacked with a knife by a group of up to five men in the Fakenham Street property this morning.
DI James Holden-White of Cherwell and West Oxfordshire CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information about what happened to please come forward.
“We are in the early stages of this investigation but have no concerns at this time that there is a risk to the wider public."
So far, two men have been arrested: an 18-year-old man from London arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 45-year-old Bicester man who has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
Both men remain in custody.
Detectives believe the woman was attacked by a group of men in a property in Fakenham Street, Bicester, between 4.20am and 4.30am this morning.
The group is believed to have comprised of between three and four black men and a white man. All the men were aged between 18 and 25.
