Oxford is once again set to sizzle this week, as temperatures soar into the 30s.
Last month record-breaking temperatures were seen across the country as the hottest ever day in the UK was recorded.
In Oxford, temperatures reached 38.4°C in Benson at 2pm on July 19 – beating the previous record for the county, 36.5°C recorded by the Met Office in 2019.
The weather is set to be extremely warm again this week, so get your sun cream ready.
Today:
A bright and sunny day for many, however patchy cloud developing through the morning in some parts leading to sunny intervals.
Staying dry with cloud clearing in the afternoon.
Feeling very warm or hot, though cooler by the coast.
Maximum temperature 30°C.
Tonight:
A sunny evening with some late warm sunshine.
Clear spells and light winds overnight allowing temperatures to fall, with a few mist or fog patches possible towards dawn.
Minimum temperature 10°C.
Tuesday:
Another day of sunny spells, hot temperatures and light winds.
A little patchy cloud is possible leading to some hazy sunshine at times.
Maximum temperature 31°C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
It will be dry with long sunny spells and hot or very hot temperatures, these increasing day on day.
Winds remaining mostly light, though perhaps breezier later.
