FIREFIGHTERS have issued a warning after being called to a huge barn blaze.
Crews from Bicester and Thame, in addition to firefighters from Buckinghamshire, attended the barn fire yesterday, in Grendon Underwood, on the edge of Oxfordshire.
Firefighters used hose reels to prevent the blaze from spreading, and a fire engine stayed through the night to ‘monitor a controlled burn’.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service reported: “While the hot and dry weather continues, we would like to remind everyone never to use disposable barbecues in parks and public spaces, and make sure rubbish, especially glass, is safely thrown away, and cigarettes are always properly disposed of.
“In this heat, please keep an eye out for vulnerable neighbours and family members, and make sure you keep hydrated.”
