A Town’s Pride community has donated money to its local fire station to say thank you for the continued support.
Members of Bicester Pride visited Bicester Fire Station last night to gift the firefighters with a check worth £163 to show appreciation for the rescue centre’s long-standing support.
The money was raised through a GoFundMe campaign and will go towards The Fire Fighters Charity.
Bicester Fire Station supported the first ever Bicester Pride event in 2021, with donations and the raising of a Pride flag on its premises.

However, the flag was vandalised.
Director of Bicester Pride Christina Riley said: “Bicester Fire Station gave us lots of help and support last year, and we’re very grateful.
“Unfortunately, the vandalism last year shows the inherent homophobia in society.
“This is why Pride is so important, we just need to show people that we’re people, all the phobias shouldn’t be tolerated.”
