A post office which had to shut down in 2021 is now reopening at a new location as a permanent, full-time branch.
Post Office is planning to re-open Marsh Gibbon Post Office at a new location – Marsh Gibbon Village Shop, 1 Berry Close, Marsh Gibbon, Bicester on Friday, September 23 at 1pm.
This will restore full-time permanent Post office services to the area.
The previous branch, inside The Plough Inn on Church Street, closed in June 2021, due to the resignation of the postmaster.
The new premises in Berry Close, which are currently empty, will undergo a full refurbishment to incorporate the retail store with Marsh Gibbon Post Office.

It will close on Friday, September 23.
Post Office Network Provision Lead Anthony Bayley said: “We are delighted to soon be restoring a permanent Post Office to this area, as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.
The opening hours will make it convenient for customers to visit.
“We are keen to restore this full-time branch to the area as soon as possible, so we have decided to go ahead with our plans.”
