Nearly a quarter of pupils at a school in Bicester scored top grades in their GCSE results.
Pupils at The Cooper School in Churchill Road, alongside other GCSE candidates across the country, collected their results this morning (August 25).
23 per cent of year 11 pupils at the school, nearly one quarter, gained five or more passes at grades 7-9.

79 per cent of students got five or more passes at grade 4 and above, including English and Maths, while 67 per cent achieved five or more passes at grade 5.
The percentage of passes in English, maths and science were more than 80 per cent and represent the best set of results in these subjects.
16-year-old Louis Huxford, who achieved straight 9s and is staying on at the Cooper School for his A Levels, said: “I’m feeling very happy with the results and I’m now planning to study maths, Spanish, and politics.
“I want to say a big thank you to all the teachers who have helped me in the last five years; I appreciate all the time you have put into helping me achieve my best.”
Benjamin Pearce, 16, who is leaving to study the international baccalaureate at Oxford College and scored 8 and 9 grades, said: “I’m absolutely buzzing and I’m just really happy with my results.
“Thank you so much to all of my teachers for their support over the last 5 years, they’ve helped me to achieve the results I wanted.”
Lydia Stoddard, also 16, achieved 7, 8 and 9 grades and said: “I'm so happy right now as I put a lot of work into my exams and I'm so glad that it paid off. I'm planning to go to The Cooper school sixth form to study maths, physics and sociology.
“I would like to thank all my teachers for motivating me and encouraging me to achieve my full potential. I will forever be grateful to every teacher who helped me through the exam season.”
Dr. Rob Whannel, headteacher at The Cooper School said: “I am very proud of our Year 10 and Year 11 students.
“Despite the range of challenges placed upon them during their GCSE courses, they have risen to overcome these obstacles admirably and secured success, not only in their academic attainment, but also in themselves as individuals.
“Students have worked enthusiastically with our amazing staff who have also risen to every challenge put in front of them working with positivity, commitment, humour and determination to ensure every opportunity for success.
“This cohort has needed to deal with significant changes to their courses in short spaces of time; these students have developed courage, determination, independence and dedication and these skills will serve them well in their futures.
“The outstanding results that these students have achieved are genuinely well deserved and we wish them every success in their next steps.”
