Heavy rain, thunder and lightening struck the county at about 4.30pm but only took place for a brief period of time.

It is not the only opportunity for photographers to capture the storm however as the Met Office has predicted an ‘isolated thunderstorm’ to take place later today.

It said the weather today will be a ‘mixture of sunshine and showers’ but ‘with a chance of an isolated thunderstorm’.
