With strong links to the military, Remembrance Sunday was a particularly special day in this town.
The people of Bicester - including military officials and personnel, members of the police, religious leaders, scout and guide groups - came together on Remembrance Sunday to remember all who have served.
The service took place at St Edburg’s Church in two stages; an outdoor service with two minutes’ silence, followed by wreath laying by local groups, organisations and individuals.

The crowds moved into the church afterwards for the indoor service.
The Remembrance Day parade left St Edburg’s Church for Market Square, and then returned along the same route.
Mayor of Bicester, Alex Thrupp, said: “Bicester has strong links with the military and that could be seen by the number of people attending the service and the parade.
“I would like to thank all those involved in organising and running the event which allowed us to come together as a community in this time of remembrance.”
Councillor Donna Ford, Chairman of Policy at Bicester Town Council, added: “As the wife and daughter in law of veterans, remembrance is an event close to my heart.
“It was an honour and a privilege to be able to attend Sunday’s service and lay a wreath.
“It was fantastic to see out town come together to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms.
“I would like to thank all those who attended the event.”
