CHINNOR missed the chance to show what they have picked up in Nick Easter’s first week at the club after their weekend fixture was postponed.
The 44-year-old former England player was appointed director of rugby on December 2.
Easter played at three World Cups for England – in 2007, 2011 and 2015 – and was most recently defence and forwards coach at Worcester Warriors.
The former No 8 made 281 appearances for Harlequins during his playing career and represented his country 54 times.
After hanging up his boots, Easter spent two years as Harlequins’ defence coach, before joining Natal Sharks in South Africa, as forwards and attack coach, helping them win the Currie Cup in 2018.
Easter returned to England in 2020, becoming the defence and breakdown coach at Newcastle Falcons, before moving on to Worcester.

Chinnor’s home clash with Bishop’s Stortford in National League 1 was set to be the first opportunity to get a glimpse of the early influence Easter has had on the Thame-based outfit.
However, the fixture was postponed due to health and safety reasons, the club reported.
A club statement posted on Friday read: “Our men’s first XV and Falcons were both due to be in action at Kingsey Road, but with two days of freezing temperatures and more to follow over the next 24 hours, the decision has been made to call off the fixtures.
“A pitch inspection carried out by RFU match officials at 12pm today has confirmed that it would be too dangerous to play and we will announce the rescheduled date in due course.”

There was however action in National 2 East as Henley Hawks won 19-14 away at Canterbury.
Tom Halliday gave the hosts an early lead with a try after just two minutes, with Frank Reynolds missing the conversion.
Three minutes later, Sam Lunnon levelled with a try of his own – Max Titchener converting.
Reynolds scored a penalty, but then it was all Henley as Ryan Crowley and Lunnon grabbed tries, Titchener converting following Crowley’s.
Reynolds added penalties in the 36th and 55th minute, but Henley held firm among a series of substitutions from both sides.
Oxford Quins won 41-22 at home against London Welsh in Regional 1 South Central, while Banbury’s away clash against Bracknell was called off due to a frozen pitch.
All fixtures in Regional 2 Tribute South Central and Counties 1 Tribute Southern North were called off.
