On Christmas eve an 18-year-old man was arrested for assault on an emergency worker and assault on a member of the public.
This was following an incident where paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service had attended a report of an unconscious male in Bath Road, Banbury.

The male then became violent, assaulting both paramedics and a member of the public who intervened.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Assaults on emergency workers will not be tolerated and our thanks go to those members of the public who bravely assisted in this situation.
“If any witnesses have not been spoken to by police and wish to provide us with any further evidence, please do contact us and quote reference 43220576037.”
