A reviewer wrote in June 2023: "Fantastic experience. Myself and my wife visited this beautiful restaurant in the village of Horspath. A great choice of wines and beers and the food menu was fantastic. It was a joy to eat there and the manageress was wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. Probably the best meal I’ve had this year. I highly recommended this great hidden gem."

Fantastic food, the best pizza ever with wonderful crispy and soft base. Gorgeous red wine and exceptionally courteous male waiter.
Would definitely recommend to anyone to try it."

JulesHH65 reviewed 2 days ago via mobile: "Well worth the drive! We chose this pub as a half-way point (more or less) between Gloucester and London. There were four of us plus a nine-month old baby. The staff were very welcoming, they weren’t at all fazed by the baby crawling around the table.
The food was delicious - the monkfish fillets from the specials board was top notch as was the liver and bacon. The other two adults had mussels and fish and chips, and both said they were great. Desserts were also tasty - our only slight criticism was that the portion sizes were huge!"

My wife has issues with certain ingredients and our server was fantastic at suggesting alternatives to give her a dinner that she was very happy to eat. We will definitely be back when we are in Cotswolds, so worth the drive."

All the food was excellent (decent size portions, perfectly cooked and served hot), the service, pleasant staff and great value for money made for a lovely family meal. ….5 stars to you."
