A new coffee shop is set to open in Bicester 'next week' at the UK’s largest self-built residential development.
Kunal Patel, the new manager, has confirmed the new Esquires coffee shop will open next week at Unit 2 of Trinity House West in the Graven Hill development after spending the month recruiting staff.
Esquires has more than 130 coffee shops worldwide in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, the Middle East, China and Australasia.
The Bicester location will be the first the chain has opened in Oxfordshire.
When asked why Esquires wished to expand further to Bicester, Mr Patel said: “The town has a great population and this served as the perfect opportunity to grow the business.
“There’s always a need for locally available convenience and the opening in Bicester ensures local residents don’t always have to rely on the high street when provision is closer to them.
"Coffee goes hand in hand with great food, whether that be hot or cold.
“We’re really in fast-track mode now, completing the internal furnishings in preparation for the opening.”
The coffee shop chain was Founded by Doug Williamson and Gary Buckland in Canada in 1993.
Esquires expanded to the United Kingdom in 2000, followed by Ireland in 2001.
A company statement said: “Our teams walk the same streets you do, shop at the same shops, sit in the same parks, admire the same views.
“But we draw on our global best-pour knowledge, to help us deliver the best cup of coffee in your neighbourhood.
“Our approach is that each café is a unique reflection of the community it sits in."
