The UK's largest independent toy retailer is set to launch at Tesco stores in Bicester and Banbury.

The Entertainer stores will open within the Tesco Extra in Banbury on May 8 and in Bicester in mid-September.

This follows the January announcement of an expanded partnership between The Entertainer and Tesco, with the toy retailer set to rollout to more than 750 Tesco stores this year, creating more than 1,000 new jobs.

Rachel Willmott, regional area manager at The Entertainer, said: “We’re delighted to announce that The Entertainer Toy Shop will be launching across two Cherwell-based Tesco stores, which will bring some of our magic directly to families and children right in the heart of the local community.”

Tesco's managing director of home and clothing, Jan Marchant, added: “We’re really excited to be bringing The Entertainer to Tesco stores across the UK, introducing even more customers to the great range of toys and making it easier for customers to pick up a gift for their little ones in store.”

The rollout of The Entertainer Toy Shop concessions across Tesco stores will provide shoppers with the chance to discover the shop's range of the latest toys and games.

The Entertainer, along with the Early Learning Centre, stock thousands of toys and games at more than 160 stores across the country and online.
