A GP who drunkenly stamped on a police officer in high heels has withdrawn her application to practise again.

Eve Speight was suspended by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service after her conviction for the assault in 2015.

Two years later, at a Manchester hearing to review her case, she was struck off the medical register altogether.

This came after an incident at the Swan pub in Stewkley, Buckinghamshire, on June 15 where, following a row with her husband, police were called to find her in a distressed state.

She was arrested for a public order offence and became abusive before stamping on the police officers with her heels calling out, ‘I’m a f***ing GP don’t you know.’

On Monday (July 22), a tribunal was scheduled on Speight’s request to discuss whether she could be reinstated as a GP.

She had previously - though not at the time of the incident, been a GP at Victoria House Surgery, Bicester.

However, the virtual hearing – which was heard in private – concluded early after it was concluded that Speight had withdrawn her application from consideration.

It was heard that she had also failed to show up to the hearing.

At the time of the first hearing, Speight said: “As for my reflection time - I can tell you I had the most lengthy punishment for my petty crime, misbehaviour.”
