A newly formed football team have secured sponsorship from a national business.
Elmsbrook Jack's FC, who began their first season with a 6-2 win against Wroxton Sports FC on Saturday, September 7, have announced their partnership with Drain Doctor Oxford.
The club, based at the Elmsbrook housing development in Bicester, was set up by Kallum Tingey in memory of his late grandfather, Jack Tingey.
The team aims to foster community spirit while promoting grassroots footballl, and the club is part of a broader community project Mr Tingey hopes to expand in the coming years.
The sponsorship from Drain Doctor Oxford is seen as a significant step in supporting more initiatives.
Elmsbrook Jack's have entered the Banbury District and Lord Jersey League for the 2024/25 season and currently sit at the top of the table after their first match.
Jon Parker, regional director of Drain Doctor Oxford, said: "We are delighted to sponsor this new initiative to help support the manager Kallum and his plans.
"It’s a great opportunity for us to put something back into the local community and surrounding areas, as well as supporting young men with a passion for grassroots football."
