The cause of death of a young man found dead in Banbury last month has been confirmed by a coroner.

Kudzai Mheta, 25, died in Swan Close Road, Banbury on September 25 this year.

A member of the public found the bus engineer, from Hightown Road, Banbury, at about 7.30am. Police and emergency services closed off the area and a paramedic verified his death at 7.52am.

An inquest opening was held at Oxford Coroner’s Court on October 2.

The court heard that a post-mortem examination was carried out and his cause of death has been given as hanging, depressive disorder and alcohol misuse.

Coroner Nicholas Graham has set a date for a full inquest to take place at the same court on January 20.
