A gun threat near an Oxfordshire school has seen armed police swarm the area and arrest a man.
The incident happened earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, October 22) and occurred in Camp Road, Upper Heyford, near Bicester.
Armed officers were deployed in the area to arrest a man on suspicion of possession of a firearm, being in concerned in the supply of Class A drugs as well as criminal damage.
Thames Valley Police officers arrested the man near Heyford Park School and he is now in police custody.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We want to reassure the public about an arrest that occurred in Camp Road, Upper Heyford, this afternoon.
“Rumours have surfaced on social media stating that Heyford Park School was in lockdown are not accurate.
“We informed and worked with the school before and after the arrest, due to the deployment of Armed Officers.
“We have been carrying out patrols in the area to reassure the public.”
