An Italian restaurant in Oxfordshire requires 'major improvement' following a hygiene inspection.
La Naty first opened its doors on Broad Street in Banbury on Friday, August 4, 2023, with a mix of Italian and Romanian food.
Yet Cherwell District Council’s Environmental Health team were not impressed during a visit on Tuesday, September 24.
Handing the business a food hygiene rating of one-out-of-five, the report said that major improvement was 'necessary' at the venue.

One major cause of concern was the management of food safety which was rated as requiring 'major improvement'.
This refers to having a system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat as well as if there is evidence that staff know about food safety.
It also concerns whether or not the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future.
Despite these issues, the eatery’s cleanliness and the condition of its facilities and building were deemed to be of a 'generally satisfactory' standard.

This includes having an appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene.
Similarly, La Naty’s hygienic handling of food, referring to the preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage, was also marked as being 'generally satisfactory'.
The Oxford Mail has attempted to contact La Naty for comment on the rating.
