An Oxfordshire town is preparing for the festive celebrations to begin with a host of events lined up.

Here is what's on in Bicester this Christmas.

Christmas lights switch-on

Organised by Bicester Town Council, the festivities in the town will begin with the annual Christmas lights switch on.

This will take place on Saturday, November 30 in the Market Square.

The festive day of fun will take place in the Market Square and Sheep Street and will begin from 10am.

There will be a market featuring handmade gifts and street food plus an array of festive drinks such as mulled wine.

The Christmas market will be open Saturday and Sunday (December 1).

From 4pm there will be a Christmas stage and story in the Market Square for visitors to enjoy, followed by the lights switch-on at 6pm.

Garth House Illuminated Christmas Trail

The Garth House Illuminated Christmas Trail will begin on Friday, December 6 and will continue until Sunday, December 15.

Staged for the fourth year running, and with almost 10,000 people visiting in 2022 the festive lights trail will return to light up Garth Park.
