A stylish furniture retailer famous for its contemporary classic designs has opened a new store in Bicester

Heal’s, which is known for its modern furniture, has opened a new 6,000 sq ft outlet store at Bicester Avenue.

The site, which is owned by Blue Diamond Garden Centres, will sell a selection of Heal’s best-selling pieces and most popular brands at reduced prices.

They will include sofas and beds, lighting and home accessories, with a range of cancelled, returned and overstocked orders available at discount.

Hamish Mansbridge, chief executive of Heal’s, said: “We continue to enjoy real success across our bricks and mortar portfolio and are excited to further expand our footprint with this new opening at Bicester Avenue.

“For those looking to update their homes, we understand that many customers prefer to see and feel products in person before making a purchase.

"Whether it’s a big-ticket item like a new bed, or those small, finishing touches that make a room feel like home, the outlet store will allow local shoppers to discover some of their favourite designs for less.”

Heal's flagship store on London's furniture street Tottenham Court Road has been in business for 200 years.

Alan Roper, managing director at Blue Diamond Garden Centres, said it was "a significant milestone in our vision to establish the region’s leading home and lifestyle destination.

He said: “This partnership is the first step in an ambitious expansion plan for Bicester Avenue Garden & Home, with further brands set to join us in the new year and we look forward to announcing more details soon.”
