A 24-hour racquet sports marathon has raised thousands of pounds for a Bicester dementia charity.
David Lloyd club members and were joined by friends as they played padel, badminton, pickleball, and tennis non-stop from 2pm on Friday, November 22, to 2pm a day later in support of Forget Me Not Bicester.
David Cummins and Joanne Barrow, who organised the fundraiser, set a target of raising £10,000 for the organisation that provides a friendship and lunch club for individuals living with dementia.
The charity offers a safe and welcoming environment, allowing carers to leave their loved ones with peace of mind.
Its staff have more than 30 years of experience and specialised qualifications in dementia care.
So far, the group have amassed £6,635, receiving 209 donations through their GoFundMe page.
Mr Cummins and Ms Barrow said on the GoFundMe page: "Your generous donation will make a real difference.
"It will help Forget Me Not Bicester continue their vital work, supporting those with dementia and providing much-needed respite for their carers.
"No amount is too small; every contribution brings us closer to our £10,000 goal.
"Spread the word by sharing this page with your friends, family, and on social media.
