Sam Usher, Sarah Rendell and Jenny McBain helped Alchester’s Veteran Ladies A team storm to victory by more than nine minutes at Sunday’s Oxfordshire County Road Relays in Abingdon.
Usher, Rendell and McBain’s collated times saw Alchester home in 1hr 14secs.
In the senior men’s race, Alchester A crossed the line in fourth as Oxford City A took first place.
Richard Gould, Andrew Stickley, Jamie Bagnall, Gary Warland, Shaun O’Gorman and Vincente Bayliss finished just under 12 minutes behind the winners.
Bicester AC combined with Banbury Harriers in the first round of the UK Youth Development Midland North (East) Division 2 match.
Connor Wilce won the under 17 long and triple jumps with 5.43m and 12.06m.
Jess Cherry set a personal best and club record in winning the under 20 woman’s shot put with an effort of 9.91m.
Clubmate Emily Benfield was second in the under 20 100m and 200m.
