Alchester AC’s Sarah Rendell and Sam Usher finished in the top ten at the first Mota-vation series race of the year at Charlton-on-Otmoor, near Bicester.
Rendell and Usher finished eighth and tenth respectively, with 11 seconds separating them.
Jessica Webb, from Woodstock, won by more than 30 seconds.
She was followed home by Liz Barker (Headington).
In the men’s race, Andrew Stickley of Alchester was the first placed North Oxfordshire club affiliated athlete as he crossed in a time of 23mins 3secs.
David Bruce (Oxford City AC) edged to victory by five seconds, beating Wimbledon Hercules’ Kieran White and vet 40 runner Paul Fernandez, from Abingdon.
Gary Warland was Alchester’s top performer at Monday’s Chalgrove 10k, finishing 18th in 39mins 23secs.
