Westbury's bid for another OCA League Division 1 crown started in emphatic fashion as they thrashed hosts Chadlington by 152 runs on Saturday.
Westbury rattled up a formidable 259-5 as Paul Atkins led the way with 75.
Andy Clarke took 4-18 and Richard Tredwell 3-18 in Chadlington’s 107 total.
In Division 2, an all-round show from Sat Vadivale helped Marsh Gibbon to a seven-run win at Wantage.
Vadivale top-scored with 44 in Marsh Gibbon’s 177-6, before claiming 3-43 in Wantage’s 170-9, in which Colin Mercer hit 97.
Abdullah Khan smashed a superb 155 not out to lead Westcott to a crushing 163-run home win against Chesterton in Division 3.
Westcott amassed 268-8, before Alimar Khan took 4-18 as Chesterton were shot out for 105.
Fringford’s decision to bat first on a tricky pitch at Watlington proved the right decision as they beat their hosts by 75 runs.
Fringford posted a competitive 160-9, Rob Gascoigne top-scoring with 36, before Sanjeewa Jayakody took 5-29 as Watlington were shot out for 85.
In Division 6, former Buckinghamshire batsman Andy Wynd returned to his old club to steer Brill to a ninewicket win over visitors Broughton 2nd.
Ben Jackson took 4-18 to help skittle Broughton for 96, before Wynd, who went backto his first club after a spell at Horspath, hit 56 not out as Brill reached 99-1.
Westbury 2nd won by 77 runs away to Great Horwood 2nd.
After posting 186-8, despite 5-31 from Peter McHenry, they dismissed the hosts for 109 with three wickets apiece for Daniel Willett and Ron Ridgway.
