ALCHESTER’S veteran men finished second at the Oxfordshire County Road Relays in Abingdon.
The six-man team of Shaun O’Gorman, Richard Gould, John Nelson, Andrew Stickley, Andrew Simpson and Gary Warland combined for an overall time of 1mins 53.28secs.
In the women’s, Alchester’s senior team came third.
Sarah Rendell set the pace with a first leg of 19.12, before Becky Fennell and Nicola Faulkner combined for a time of 1.02.56, just four seconds behind next placed Radley.
