BICESTER AC’s Ben West secured his selection for the National School Championships with a win in the intermediate boys 1500 metres at the Oxfordshire Schools Track and Field Championships.
West, who last week became the club’s under 17 record-holder over the distance, produced one of his fastest times of the year, clocking 4mins 11.3secs at |Horspath.
Clubmate Lucy Stowell won the intermediate girl’s javelin with a throw of 17.65m.
Molly Acton was third n the intermediate girl’s 800 metres, clocking 2mins33.9secs.
Erin Fabri was fourth in the junior girl’s 100 metres (14.8secs).
In the junior throwing events Amber Parker was fourth (17.19m) in the javelin and Rushani Arumugham sixth in the shot (8.98m).
