MATT Goode’s hat-trick of tries helped Banbury secure a second-successive bonus-point home win with a 68-12 victory over rivals Bicester.
The result saw Bulls go top of South West 1 East after two games and lift the Sam Miller Memorial Trophy.
Tommy Gray’s unconverted try put Banbury ahead on five minutes and it was soon 12-0, when George Grieve crossed.
Chris Phillips bundled his way over and the bonus point was secured as Grieve picked up a loose ball and sprinted the full length of the pitch to make it 26-0.
Head coach Goode touched down under the posts and it was soon 47-0 as Sam Stoop ran in from ten metres and Ed Phillips crossed.
Both sides were reduced to 14 men and Bicester finally got off the mark when Christian Mann dived over for a converted try.
Dan Spencer then scored for the visitors, but there was still time for Banbury to increase their lead.
Goode went over twice more, with Freddie Cracknell also crossing, as Bulls ran riot.
Ed Phillips converted nine of the ten tries.
Oxford Harlequins earned a 15-6 victory at county rivals Witney.
Despite a strong start, the visitors had to wait until the 25th minutes to open scoring, when Freddie Campbell went over for an unconverted try.
A George Lewis penalty for Witney reduced the arrears to 5-3 at half time.
Fotu Latu’s try increased Quins’ lead after the break, Huw Dimond converting to make it 12-3.
Lewis and Dimond then traded penalties as the visitors secured their first win of the season.
Grove lost 29-27 at Stratford Upon Avon.
