BICESTER fell to a 19-10 friendly defeat at home to Aylesbury.
The north Oxfordshire side had been due to play Gosford All Blacks in the preliminary round of the Oxfordshire Cup.
But they were handed a walkover by their visitors, who were unable to field a side.
Instead, Bicester lined up against Aylesbury, but they were soon 12-0 down after tries from Mark Kentish and Ben Amos. Alex Shearer converting the first.
George Withers replied and it was soon 12-10, when Shaun Reddish crossed.
But the visitors won it as James Woodfall dotted down and Shearer converted.
