BICESTER’S Amelia Cox impressed during a competitive second round of the Chiltern Cross Country League at Milton Keynes.
The event was also held in conjunction with the Cross Challenge and Cox finished 26th in a 100-strong under 15 girls’ race.
She crossed sixth out of the Chiltern League runners and was the third Division 2 athlete.
Ben West finished 26th in the under 17 men’s race and top of the Division 2 event.
Bicester just missed out on first place in the under 15 boys competition, Max Nicolle starring with a 17th-placed finish overall.
The under 13 girls’ team came fourth.
l Bicester veteran David Kuester won gold in the 70+age group at the MMTG British Mixed Hammer Decathlon Championships in Derby.
He also clinched bronze for an overall distance across all ages.
