BICESTER’S young guns starred in the second round of the Oxford Mail Cross Country League at Cirencester Park.
Jago Newton was the first boy when finishing second in the mixed under 9 race.
Owen Stocker crossed seventh in the under 13 event, while Samuel Worfolk came ninth in the under 15/17 race.
Bicester’s under 13 girls are second in the standings, with Lucy McGrath leading the team home in Cirencester, finishing eighth.
In the senior men’s race, Alchester’s John Nelson was the top vet 60.
- Bicester’s Anna Jolliffe came 11th in the under 13 girls’ race in the Chiltern League.
- Bicester Tri’s Kirsten Doyle competed in the 50-mile Tour de Trigs.
She, along with her teammates, completed the race, which covers Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, just outside of he 24-hour cut-off.
