BICESTER’S resurgence continued with a 22-16 win at home to Reading Abbey.
The north Oxfordshire side, who lost the first four games, made it five victories in a row to climb to fifth in Southern Counties North.
An Ollie Walton penalty put Abbey in front, but Bicester replied through Peter Tarrega’s try, Josh Wordsworth adding the extras.
The hosts made it 12-3 when Charlie Bethell crossed, before the visitors reduced the arrears, thanks to another Walton penalty.
Bicester then went 17-6 up at the break, thanks to Dan Walker’s try.
The same player was yellow-carded and Jonathan Mailvoire dotted down for Abbey.
But Bicester made sure of victory, when Pete Howard crossed.
Toby Staker dived over for Abbey late on, but it did not matter.
