ARDLEY United head into Saturday’s crucial fixture at home to Windsor on the back of a morale-boosting week.
The north Oxfordshire side beat Royal Wootton Bassett 2-0 at home last weekend to climb out of the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division relegation zone.
And they followed up that victory by beating Woodley United 3-2 after extra-time on Monday to progress from the first round of the Reading Senior Cup.
Craig Adey’s side are now eyeing a hat-trick of wins when they take on fellow strugglers Windsor on Saturday.
Victory could see Ardley move five points clear of safety, with this weekend’s opponents only a place below them in the table.
Against Wootton Bassett, Troy Bryan (pictured) broke the deadlock after a goalless first half, before Jordan Thomas made the three points safe.
On Monday night, Tobias London fired Ardley into the lead against Woodley.
Harley Giles doubled their advantage, but the hosts hit back to make it 2-2 after 90 minutes.
Conor Harris then struck in extra time to secure Ardley a second round tie against Oxfordshire rivals Wantage Town.
