WITNEY Swifts continued their dominance in OCA League Division 1 with another crushing victory – this time sending Chipping Norton crashing to a nine-wicket defeat.
Chippy batted first, but were quickly shot out for 65 as Redd Pratley (3-11) and Alfie Saunders (3-12) starred.
And Swifts took just nine overs to cruise in as George Seacole hit 48 not out.
Mohammed Shafqat took 5-52 as Wolvercote defeated Faringdon by 52 runs.
Amit Borlikar hit 60 not out in Wolvercote’s 211 all out, Mike Hume claiming 4-37.
Faringdon then fell for 159 as Shafqat held sway, Rob Brown scoring 76 for the visitors.
Hosts Oxenford beat Stonesfield by three wickets.
Adrian Birkett (97) helped the visitors to 234 all out, but 71 from Vijay Pamu and 55 not out from Ayyaz Mallick saw Oxenford to 238-7.
Rehman Ullah shone for Westcott in their clash at Marsh Gibbon.
Ullah took 4-40 as Marsh Gibbon were shot out for 105, and he then top-scored with 46 to steer Westcott to a four-wicket win.
Middleton Cheney beat Garsington & Cowley by 24 runs in a low-scoring affair.
They had been bowled out for only 122, but Ali Dennison claimed 4-25 as Garsington fell for 98, Usman Younus hitting 50.
In Division 2, Callum Parker starred with both bat and ball to help Stanton Harcourt to top spot with a 99-run success at Wootton & Boars Hill.
Parker finished 108 not out as Stanton were dismissed for 207, and claimed 4-14 in 10.4 overs to help roll Wootton out for 108.
Ted Landray scored exactly 100 as Bampton eased to a six-wicket win at Cairns Fudge.
Earlier, the hosts posted 209-6, Alexander Baillieu scoring 83 not out.
Landray then led the way to steer his side to 213-4.
Mike Slade claimed a five-wicket haul as Clifton Hampden ran out ten-run winners at Kilkenny.
Richard Beard (74) had seen Clifton to 201-8, Tom Valentine taking 4-40.
Kilkenny got close, thanks to Darren Gordon (55), but Slade claimed 5-57 to dismiss them for 191.
Watlington edged a thrilling low-scoring clash with visitors East & West Hendred by three runs.
Only Steve Strong (62) got going as Watlington were bowled out for 124.
But Neil Maguire returned figures of 3-31 as Hendred were dismissed for 121 in their reply.
Tetsworth eased past visitors Hanborough by 79 runs.
Miteshkumar Lauchande hit 48 in the home side’s 180 all out, before Hanborough slumped to just 101 all out.
Jason Tillcock was out for 99, but saw his side to a one-wicket win over Kidlington in Division 3.
Kidlington were all out for 192, Sahil Kalyan hitting 55.
Tillcock then fell one short of a century as Broughton edged in at 193-9.
Hook Norton maintained their 100 per cent record, beating Brill by 100 runs.
Jordan Glazier (72) saw Hooky to 189 all out, before Richard Knight claimed 4-6 to skittle the home side for 89.
Julian Chaundy’s 6-51 was in vain as Combe lost by two wickets at home to Wantage.
Combe were bowled out for 140, then Rob O’Kelly (83) saw Wantage to a slender win, despite Chaundy’s best efforts.
Risinghurst’s Martin Kalyan (64) and Prabhu Kenchareddy (55) shone to lead their side to a five-wicket victory at Dorchester, while Marcham’s young side beat visitors Radley by 26 runs.
In Division 4, Oxenford 2nd made it five wins from five as they hammered Uffington by eight wickets.
Daniel Bradley hit 95 and Kester Matthew 88 to help Steventon to a 36-run success over Wolvercote 2nd.
Steventon set 222-8, and then Phil Armstrong took 6-29 as Wolvercote fell for 186.
Chadlington beat Shrivenham by three wickets.
Manoj Perera (69) saw Shrivenham set 174 all out, Craig Atlas taking 5-50.
Freddie Magee then scored 52 to lead Chadlington to 175-7.
Elsewhere, Witney Swifts 2nd crushed West Ilsley by nine wickets, while Garsington & Cowley 2nd beat Deddington by 67 runs.
Sahil Agarwal’s century helped Division 5 leaders Wolvercote 3rd to a 55-run win at Letcombe.
Agarwal struck 115 in Wolvercote’s 232-8, then three wickets apiece for Harry Turner and Kunal Gupta helped to dismiss Letcombe for 177.
Clifford Jacobs slammed 122 in Tetsworth 2nd’s 250 all out, which set up a 167-run victory at Sunningwell.
In Division 6, Graham White hit a century for Chesterton as they hammered visitors Watlington 2nd by 163 runs.
White’s 114, and 59 not out for Christian Mann, saw Chesterton rack up 269-5 in their 45 overs.
Jimmy Appleton then claimed 5-22 in Watlington’s 106 all out.
Four wickets apiece for Bilal Hakeem (4-11) and Oliver Carr (4-18) helped Oxenford 3rd to a 13-run win at Hook Norton 2nd, while Steventon 2nd’s David Webb hit 102 not out to steer his side to a seven-run win at Westcott 2nd.
In Division 7 North, Charlbury 4th cruised to a ten-wicket win over Deddington 2nd, while Witney Swifts 3rd amassed a huge 301-6 in their crushing 204-run win at Kidlington 3rd, Charlie Scott-Kerr and Martin Cripps both scoring 63.
Duncan Macdonald hit 101 for Kilkenny 2nd as they brushed aside hosts Bampton 2nd by 171 runs in Division 7 South.
