MARSH Gibbon finally ended their long losing streak by beating visitors Wolvercote by three wickets in Division 1.
Wolvercote were bowled out for 168, Tom Stewart-Liberty hitting 66 and Sat Vadivale taking 3-23.
A fine knock of 63 from Joe Leonard led Gibbon’s reply, as they reached 169-7 to pick up their first win of the season.
Witney Swifts look odds-on for the title after beating their nearest challengers Oxenford by seven runs.
Charlie Fisher (62) helped Swifts to 172 all out, before Andy Purdie claimed 3-42 to help restrict the hosts to 165-8.
Chipping Norton saw off hosts Middleton Cheney by four wickets.
Andrew Tompkins claimed 5-34 in Middleton Cheney’s 172 all out.
Led by Ian Widdows (66no) and Imran Hussain (56), Chippy reached 173-6 in reply.
Mike Hume starred with bat and ball for Faringdon in their two-wicket win at Garsington & Cowley.
Hume claimed 4-25 in Garsington’s 170 all out before
top-scoring with 45 not out to lead Faringdon to 171-8.
Westcott edged past visitors Stonesfield by two wickets.
Alimar Khan claimed 5-29 in Stonesfield’s 171-9 and then top-scored with 38 to steer Westcott home at 172-8.
In Division 2, Tom Small smashed an unbeaten 134 in Cairns Fudge’s seven-wicket win over Tetsworth.
The visitors set 218 all out, Martin Hanscombe taking 4-27.
Small dominated Fudge’s reply, guiding them home at 219-3.
Shaun Morton also struck an unbeaten century as leaders Wootton & Boars Hill eased past Kilkenny by 95 runs.
Morton hit 113 not out in Wootton’s 194-4 and then Billy Webb took 4-10 to help dismiss the visitors for only 99 in their reply.
East & West Hendred’s title hopes suffered a setback as they lost a thriller against Clifton Hampden by four runs.
Clifton posted 193-9, Carl Palmer claiming 4-36 for the hosts.
Jack Mulford then hit 76 in Hendred’s reply, but Darren Clark claimed 5-38 to help dismiss them for 189 in a tense finale.
Arrun White’s fine spell of 5-33 set up a comfortable seven-wicket win for Stanton Harcourt over visitors Hanborough.
The away side were shot out for 92, then Stanton eased to 93-3.
Hassan Khushi hit 67 not out as Watlington eased past visitors Bampton by six wickets, successfully chasing down their target of 144 all out.
Tom Dingwall was the star of the show with an unbeaten century to lead Combe to a crushing eight-wicket win at Risinghurst in Division 3.
Rakesh Nambiar (74no) and Sandeep George (64) saw the hosts to 214-9, Robbie Nicholson claiming 5-38.
Dingwall then hit 137 not out and shared a 206-run second-wicket stand with Chris Moore (52) as Combe eased to 216-2.
Kidlington’s Sahil Kalyan hit 113 not out to help his side to a 139-run win over Wantage.
Edd Willmot contributed with 84 in Kidlington’s 276-4, and Wantage were then bowled out for 137 in reply.
Marcham saw off visitors Brill by 66 runs.
After setting 201-9, Marcham ran through the Brill line-up as Ethan Davie claimed 5-44.
Hook Norton stayed clear at the top with a six-wicket win at Broughton & North Newington.
Richard Knight took 5-32 in Broughton’s 150 all out, Hooky cruising to 154-4.
Dorchester saw off hosts Radley by three wickets.
In Division 4, leaders Steventon made it ten wins from 11 with a 30-run success over Shrivenham.
Phil Armstrong top-scored with 41 in Steventon’s 146 all out, then Joe Bennett took 3-9 in Shrivenham’s 116 all out, Manoj Perera hitting 87.
Divya Puri’s 136 saw Oxenford 2nd to a 111-run win at Witney Swifts 2nd.
Oxenford amassed 270-7 and then Waqas Mir took 3-28 in Swifts’ 159-7.
Wolvercote 2nd cruised to a ten-wicket win over Deddington.
The visitors posted 211-9 as Oliver Roberts scored 96.
But 119 not out from Darren Jones and 73 not out from Ben Madden saw Wolvercote to 213-0.
Elsewhere, Chadlington beat Uffington by eight wickets, while Garsington & Cowley 2nd saw off West Ilsley by 99 runs.
Dominic Whinfrey broke a Sunningwell club record with a spectacular 166 not out off 92 balls as his side hammered visitors East & West Hendred 2nd by 149 runs in Division 5.
Whinfrey’s innings contained 13 sixes and 12 fours as they posted 278-7.
Nathan Himpson then took 4-29 in Hendred’s 129 all out.
Aaron Huish smashed 145 not out for Tetsworth 2nd in their 140-run win over Risinghurst 2nd.
Letcombe’s Danny Taylor claimed sensational figures of 7-39 to help his side to a 21-run win over visitors Freeland.
Letcombe were all out for 137 as Marcus Hall took 5-40, before Taylor’s haul sent Freeland tumbling to 116 all out.
In Division 6, a haul of 5-29 for Jimmy Appleton was in vain for Chesterton as they lost by five wickets at home to Kidlington 2nd.
They had earlier been bowled out for 109, then Kidlington reached 111-5, despite Appleton’s efforts.
Division 7 North leaders Stonesfield 2nd fell to a six-wicket defeat at home to Stanton Harcourt 2nd.
Kane Lewis took 3-25 in Stonesfield’s 126 all out, then Declan Wastie hit 37 not out in Stanton’s 128-4.
In Division 7 South, Duncan Macdonald hit 111 and then took 4-16 to help Kilkenny 2nd to a
103-run win over Sunningwell 2nd.
Nitin Tandon hit 100 not out as Harwell International beat Faringdon 2nd by ten wickets.
