BICESTER claimed their first victory of the season with a hard-fought 34-22 triumph over Chesham in Southern Counties North.
The Oxfordshire side went 17 points up in the first half and never looked back to secure a bonus-point win.
Dan Walker opened the scoring with a penalty after 12 minutes and was integral to Bicester’s first try, speeding through the centre before offloading to Francois Weise to cross for a converted score.
Ollie Cassidy soon touched down for the hosts, with Walker adding the extras, but a converted Chesham try reduced the deficit to 17-7 at half-time.
The visitors added to their tally with a penalty after the break, before Walker added another three points.
Ollie Dawkins made the points safe with two quickfire tries, Walker adding the extras for both, but there was still time for Chesham to score two tries, one converted.
Bicester 2nd were beaten 60-19 at Marlow in Berks, Bucks & Oxon 2 North.
