CHINNOR’S resurgence continued as they recorded a third straight bonus point win to climb 12 points clear of the National League 1 relegation zone.
Tries from Jason Worrall (two), Reece Marshall, Will Blakemore, Tom Price and Willie Ryan helped the Oxfordshire side convincingly beat second from bottom Leeds Tykes.
It was a crucial victory for Chinnor who made the most of their game in hand, while Tykes find themselves 14 points adrift with five matches to go.
The home side made a fast start, leading 14-0 after eight minutes with Marshall and Blakemore touching down – Price adding the extras.

Apart from one yellow card apiece, the rest of the first period was pretty uneventful, but when Leeds had a second player sent to the sin bin, Chinnor made the most of the extra man to make it 21-0 at the break as Worrall dived over out wide.
John Okafor’s interception try got Leeds off the mark on 50 minutes, but the home side secured their four-try bonus point when Price charged down a kick and then profited to dot down.
Tykes were up for a battle and reduced the arrears to 28-17 after 64 minutes thanks to quickfire scores from Matt Burke and Charlie Venables.
Had those tries been converted it would have set up a nervy final quarter, but Chinnor retook control with Ryan driving over to put the result well and truly to bed.
Leeds needed something from this match and were caught overplaying deep in their half as Worrall intercepted a pass to stroll in for the home side’s sixth try.
