PRZEMYSLAW Placheta is looking forward to getting back to full fitness and showing the Oxford United fans what he is capable of.
The 26-year-old winger joined the U’s on a free transfer in July after a short-term deal with Swansea City expired earlier in the summer.
However, injury struck during United’s 2-1 defeat at Blackburn Rovers in August, and the Poland international struggled with fitness issues for almost three months.
He returned though from the bench as the U’s were beaten at home against Middlesbrough last weekend, and provided a decent outlet down the left-hand side when he started the midweek loss away to Sheffield United.

Placheta said: “Injuries in football are always part of our job. I’m the player that is explosive and quick.
“This type of player is more common to getting injuries, but I’ve got experience as well, and we have here in the team and the club good staff that are helping me to stay fit.
“Also, my experience of how to treat my body will play a really big role with that.
“I’m sure my health and fitness will become stronger in the season.”
On his return to the side, Placheta said: “I’m buzzing. It was a tough start for me. I got injured for three months and have worked hard with our team and physios.
“We did the job, and I’m ready now and feeling ready for more.
“I’m training always to do my best and to help the team to reach their goal. I will always offer my best to the team, and next time, I will do my best to win the game.
“This is the most important thing. We need to get the points.
“I will try to do my best in each game if I have opportunities, but I’m 100 per cent sure I will be productive and better.”

The two games following the November international break, against Boro and the Blades, have also seen the returns from injury of midfielder Cameron Brannagan and fellow winger Matt Phillips.
Placheta said: “They were both two games that were tough for us, but this is the Championship.
“We’ve got plenty of players back, so that’s really good and it’s positive to have a big squad.
“Everyone can give to the team their best, to get the points. That’s the most important thing.”
Attention now turns to the visit of Millwall this afternoon. Placheta said: “It’s the same as every game for us. We need to make sure we stick together, prepare for this game how the manager wants to play, do our best, and think only about the win.
“It will be a hard game, but we need to focus on our task and our game style.”
